Thora Birch was a well-known child star before signing on to "Now and Then." She followed up the film with roles in "Alaska" and "American Beauty," the latter of which earned her a BAFTA nomination for best supporting actress. In 2001, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for best actress for her performance in "Ghost World," and in 2003, she picked up an Emmy nod for her work in the TV movie "Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story." In 2015, she starred in and produced the series "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles." These days, you can catch her starring on the buzzy Showtime series "Yellowjackets." She wed dolly grip James Heerdegen in 2013 and welcomed their son, Freddie, in 2014. They split in 2020. In August 2021 she announced she was expecting a child with her new love, hairstylist Mark Hampton. Daughter Cleo was born in December, two months after Christina and Mark tied the knot.
